Workmans Compensation Return of Earnings which is due by 31st March 2012.

The main reason for this email is to point out some disturbing news about this year's Workmans Compensation Return of Earnings which is due by 31st March 2012.

It started out as a simple question here -
Have you received a WCC return of earnings form yet?

It seems no-one has, apparently because they haven't been posted yet! The bad news is despite this being the WCC's fault, feedback says they will still be levying late return penalties anyway if your return is received after 31st March 2012.

It is a crazy situation - and not the only thing going wrong at the office of the Workmans Compensation Commissioner (as you will see if you follow that link above).

The good news is a member has managed to get a copy of the return in Excel format - attached to post 8 here
so hopefully that will help you if you have the dubious pleasure of having to submit this return.

My concern now moves to people who are going to get hit by this unfair penalty if nothing is done - and perhaps you can help.

If you know a business owner, or someone in management at a company, forward them this message.
If you have your own experience of WCC madness, add a message in the thread (first link above).
And if you know someone who might have the influence to stir things up at the office of the Commissioner, could you please pass this message on to them too.

    We are experiencing delays regarding the issuing of the 2011 return of earnings. A revised submission deadline will be communicated to all registered employers in due course.

    Please be informed that employers will not be penalised for the submission deadline of 31 March 2012.

  2. Anyone have any info on the 2013 year return of earnings. I havent been assesed for 2012 yet and haven't received return of earnings forms. When I call the call centre my calls either don't get answered or cut off early in the call before I get any info.
