Our Networking Events are specifically designed to provide you with bite-sized information that can be immediately implemented in your business. TOPIC: How to use Self-Development to be More Efficient Through the use of models like the Enneagram, individuals and teams can learn about their own behavioural styles and patterns and that of others they interact with. During our formative years we develop triggers or avoidances based on our experiences of the world, and we create our own strategies to protect us from the things that seem to hurt or make us uncomfortable. In this way, we choose behavioural styles that keep us “safe” from our key avoidances, and we can learn to use the best of this pattern through Personal Mastery and becoming more resilient to the things that cause stress in our lives. Retha will highlight the avoidances and strategies of the 9 behavioural styles of the Enneagram, and how this can help us to understand ourselves and the people we interact with, making us more effective in our business and personal lives. It’ll help you to be more tolerant of other styles, understanding the behaviour of others when you approach them without consideration of their key avoidances. ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER: Retha van Staden - Global Community Relationship Executive of Ennea International. I build, grow and manage the relationship with Ennea Distributors and the Ennea IMI Certified Facilitators across the globe. I make use of various communication channels, tools and strategies to facilitate communication between Master Distributors, Distributors and the IMI Certified Community. I support certification clients from application to certification and beyond. Teaching facilitators to understand the models and use our products is a passion, while doing some corporate delivery of our products and team development days keep me on my toes in understanding the application of this knowledge. I have been involved in technology education since the 1980s and I hope to have been instrumental in many people understanding and learning to love technology and social media. Through my work with Ennea International, I have found another passion in the understanding of human behaviour through the Five Lenses reports (Personal Mastery, Social Drives, Energy Centres, Emotional Integration and the Enneagram). It’s a fascinating industry and I learn more about human behaviour every day! I’m generally optimistic, happy, honest (sometimes painfully so!), goal driven, a perfectionist in some aspects and a hippie in others. I’m an early adopter of all technology and I like beautiful & fast cars, cats, good food/wine/coffee, good design and good company. I enjoy tennis and play regularly with friends in my paradise, Hout Bay, where I am an enthusiastic but unpaid ambassador.
