Andre de Wet sold his first business at the tender age of 27 years old and lost everything by 28. In 2013 his mobile app was voted as top international mobile app of the year as well as MTN Business app of the year.
Andre knows mobile, as he says "I build, grow and launch new products and solutions in the m-commerce, e-commerce and mobile spaces".
Andre de Wet, currently CEO of www.pricecheck.co.za, has 25 years C-level experience in management, marketing, strategy and business development, both in developed and emerging economies. Andre's primary focus is now on the mobile economy.
Some highlights:
• Andre de Wet has raised in excess of R50 million in different series of venture and other capital
• Grew www.pricecheck.co.za in 3 yrs by more than 700% to be among the top 5 most visited e-commerce sites in SA and Africa (excluding mobile visits, which would put them at number 1)
• Mobile shopping app that was selected and voted as the best app internationally in 2013, beating 150 000+ other entrants.
