Garikai Nhongo – Profile
Garikai is a strategic communications executive based in Pretoria, South Africa. He is the Managing Director of Egoli Communications (www.egolicomms.com) which is a strategic communications firm based in Centurion.
He is also the National Vice President for JCI (www.jci.cc) South Africa which is the South African representative organisation of the largest leadership, entrepreneurial and personal
development organisation in the world.
Garikai has several years of experience in Public Relations and Advertising and having done work for clients and with partners in 11 markets on 3 continents, he has a wealth of experience to share. This experience includes setting up Ad Agencies in Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa as the Business Development Executive of the Openedge Media Group’s subsidiary, Adrenalin Advertising between 2006 and 2009 and as the General Manager of the Openedge Media Group after that.
Before establishing Egoli Communications, Garikai was the Chief Marketing Officer for American based firm, the Afri-tech Group and is also an advisor for the Africa Technology Foundation.
He is an avid public speaker, a trainer and an MC for events and he also dabbles in poetry.
